Corvara is surely the village with the most important tourist tradition in Alta Badia.

Starting from the middle of 1800 the inhabitants were used to guide their guests during climbings: tourists were amazed of the beauty of these mountains. Here was installed the first Italian chair-lift letting winter tourism develop more and more. Nowadays avant-garde structures together with the experience of the tourist operators have made of Corvara one of the most glamorous destination in the Dolomites.
