For centuries La Val’s Ladins have been handing on the innate passion for working wood, leather, wool and flax. The meadows of Armentara and Rit, in the natural park Fanes-Senes-Braies, deserve admiration as in June become a huge, charming extent of flowers. La Val is a little village at the foot of Sasso Croce: the ideal oasis for quite holidays immersed in nature. The little, pretty church of Santa Barbara was built on a steep slope and from high watches over La Val’s community. It was built in 1490 and dedicated to San Floriano, Santa Barbara and All Saints. It’s along the path that brings to San Vigilio di Marebbe through La Val Alt and Rit saddle: an advisable walk. 1348 m altitude
